just another brick in the wall

Really, has all that much really changed? As I settle into the new apartment, new internship, new jobs, and new acting class I find myself reminiscing on how different things were this time last year. School would have only JUST crossed my mind because of the three weeks of ridiculous drinking, partying, sleeping in and time spent with only the best of friends. The afternoons spent enjoying the last days of summer by the pier and the porch chills shouting at the first years that walked by. But the beautiful thing about being a Queen’s grad is that 90% of your friends are from Toronto so although it may not be the Kingston ghetto it sure is a hell of a lot better then traveling coast to coast on weekends. Although a lot really has changed in such a short period of time, change is good and evolving, growing and exploring along with the change is what it’s really all about

"And there will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see what you find there, With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair."

i’m obsessed. this song makes me think about growing-up, change & love. through out life we meet people, some stay and some go. some change your life, and some merely enter in and out going unnoticed. then there are those who challenge you. maybe in a small way, maybe in a big way or maybe in a way you will never understand. i just want to say thank you to those who have completed me in some way. you know who you are and I am forever greatful. cheers to those who make us better.

"It’s scary how people leave scars on you; how certain people will never really vanish from the thoughts in your mind. I mean, I don’t think I will ever get over you. It’s not that I’m sad about us; but, sometimes in the middle of the day, out of nowhere, I hear your sentence quoted. I hear one of your phrases, loud in my mind, and I feel the way it goes all the way down to my heart again, destroying me like a tsunami. It overcomes you slowly. It’s like I get thrown back into the sea, and waves of my thoughts are crashing over me. I don’t know how I am supposed to get over a person, and you don’t have to. You can still cry after months about it. Even when you’re married and endlessly happy with that person, you should be able to cry about your first love. Not because you’re still in love with them, even if a little part still is, but because you will always love what you once loved. You learn to understand it. With every new moment and experience in your life, you start to understand, piece by piece, what was happening back then."

Currently on the trip of a life time with three of my closest friends. We started in Bali travelled across the country then took a boat to Gili T where we partied with fellow Canadian and European travellers. naturally we started a flip cup tournament, and got exceptionally competitive and now we are on our final days in Ko Phangan Thailand for the full moon party. This photo was taken at sunset this evening and as the cool breeze flows across the beach another evening of wild festivities awaits us. We are hoping it won’t be as nuts as last nights pool party at Coral Beach Bungalows but then again who are we kidding. Peace & love from the beautiful islands xx
